We Paying Tribute to the Celebrities Who Died in the first week of May 2023 in our today's video. Unfortunately, a lot of famous and dear people left us last week, celebrities who died recently, including; Tori Bowie, the former Olympic and world champion sprinter, Vida Blue, a legendary former Major League Baseball pitcher, Sienna Weir, a 23-year-old Australian model, and former Miss Universe finalist, Stanley Cup champion Petr Klíma, Samuel Durrance, an astronomer and one of the first non-career astronauts to fly with NASA, and Lance Blanks, a Former University of Texas basketball player, and Phoenix Suns general manager.Tori Bowie, the former Olympic and world champion sprinter died unexpectedly, leaving the sports world in mourning. Bowie was discovered dead at her home in Orlando Florida, after authorities were called to check on her well-being. While her cause of death is unknown, there is no evidence of foul play, and the local sheriff's department is not treating it as suspicious. Bowie won three gold medals, including an individual gold medal in the 100m at the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London, which she won in a memorable photo finish. ''...'' She also took silver and bronze in the 100m and 200m at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Vida Blue, a legendary former Major League Baseball pitcher, has passed away at 73. While the cause of his death has not been officially released, it is believed that Blue had been battling an undisclosed form of cancer for some time before his passing. He played for various teams over three decades, including the Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals, and San Francisco Giants. ''...'' Blue's outstanding performance in the 1971 season won him both the American League Most Valuable Player and the Cy Young awards. ''...'' He continued to contribute to the sport as an analyst on Giants broadcasts after retiring from baseball. Sienna Weir, a 23-year-old Australian model, and former Miss Universe finalist, has passed away after a horse riding accident. Weir sustained critical injuries on April 2 when her horse fell while she was at the Windsor Polo Grounds in Sydney. She was immediately taken to Westmead Hospital and remained on life support for several weeks, but sadly, she passed away on May 4. Petr Klima, a former NHL player, and Stanley Cup champion, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58 in his hometown of Chomutov Czechia. ''...'' Klima's NHL career spanned 13 seasons, during which he scored a total of 313 goals. One of his most memorable moments on the ice was his game-winning goal in triple overtime of Game 1 of the 1990 Stanley Cup Final, which helped the Edmonton Oilers secure a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. Samuel Durrance, an astronomer and one of the first non-career astronauts to fly with NASA after the loss of the space shuttle Challenger, has passed away at 79. During his career, Durrance spent over 30 days in space, including three space shuttle missions. Former University of Texas basketball player and Phoenix Suns general manager Lance Blanks has passed away at 56 in Dallas. Blanks gained recognition as a star player for the Longhorns and later had a successful career in the NBA as a scout, assistant coach, and executive, including serving as the general manager for the Phoenix Suns from 2010 to 2013. The cause of his death is still pending as several examinations are being conducted.
