This pristine - genuine Vintage (pre-1930) - Mk I KSS is an absolute pleasure to ride and has been meticulously put together by myself. Having accumulated almost a lifetime - over 45 years - of careful attention to detail whilst building & maintaining various models of Velocette (including some of the racers) I envisioned, a while back, that I probably had enough parts to build a complete vintage KSS. This head-turning machine is the result. It is on castor, rides well & handles beautifully. It is quick, reliable & has good brakes. I have subtly improved the machine over its original specification with the addition of a 4-speed gearbox & a larger fuel tank. For practicality a prop-stand has been fitted (which is much lighter than the original malleable iron rear stand which would have been fitted). The bike has an age-related registration number & has been built around a genuine 1929 KTT frame (with dating certificate provided courtesy of the Velocette Owners Club) . The retention of the original KTT type of toolbox - along with KTT frame-stiffening footrest hangers - is my way of wishing to tip my cap in respect of the bike's origins, for the sake of provenance. This handsome machine soaks up attention from admirers wherever it goes. As previously mentioned, being pre-1930, it is VMCC (Vintage Motorcycle Club Ltd) Banbury Run eligible. The bike easily lives up to its name - and its pedigree. A friend of mine suggested it was, perhaps; 'a wolf in sheep's clothing'. I prefer to call it possibly one of the ultimate vintage road-burners. As seen at Velocette Owners Club Annual Rally, Lichfield, July 2023. International enquiries welcome. Prior to the advent of the first KTT Model's in 1929 it was actually the KSS model that flew the flag for speed & performance at the Velocette factory. Hence the fastest version of the K-series range being designated Super Sports up until that point.
