Released in arcades in Europe & South Korea in 1999 by Korean developer DANBI, this game is a Final Fight-style beat-em-up that was released in Europe with the name Vamf x 1/2-the original Korea version has the title "Vamp x 1/2". Based on the attract mode screen the game's full title may translate as "Vampire Wolf Junior". The game is based on a comic book of the same name, presumably only published in South Korea. Players can choose to play as one of 4 different characters, each possessing unique attacks and a (sometimes hilarious) special attack. By performing a high enough combo or picking up items that seem to resemble cartoon cats, the player can temporarily power up and change form, which can happen up to 2 times (the combo immediately takes you to second form). Other items restore some life or, if dynamite is picked up, knock down all enemies. But you also must watch out for random hazards such as rolling barrels, laser beams and even giant 10 ton weights being dropped on you! Based on the graphics and animation style, plus the comic scenes between stages, despite the dark/supernatural themes this is actually a rather lighthearted game with quite a bit of humor. The game was released for the Apple iPhone & iPod Touch in the US in 2011 under the title "Vampire Wolf Warrior" (it is no longer available). There were no other releases outside of Europe & Korea. There may have been a PC release in 2000 but that cannot be confirmed.
