punch needle is a very interesting craft—you need specific combinations of fabric, needles, and yarn to make things look good & to have fun punching. the basics are key. mass-produced punch needle kits don't really pay attention to this, but no one EVER believes me when i tell them that they're not the problem, their "beginner-friendly" kits are.
