Andrew Yang has been hyping up his "Forward Party" as a third party alternative for nearly a year, and this past week it was officially announced that the Party would be "merging" with two other groups. Unfortunately, those other groups are run by Republicans, including one that is actually run by a former Trump official. This group has now become Republican-lite, and there is nothing serious about it. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this. Link - https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefi... This week, twice failed candidate. Andrew Yang announced that his forward party that he had originally announced last October, uh, was gonna be merging with two groups that just happened to be run by Republicans. Those two groups of course, are the renew America movement consisting of former Republicans led by former Trump white house, official miles Taylor and the serve America movement, which is made up of Democrats independents and Republicans. But it was founded by former Republican representative David jolly of Florida. So emerged with two groups being run by Republicans. One of them literally being run by a Trumper, and then he posts an op-ed with, uh, former Republican representative David jolly and former Republican governor, Christine Todd Whitman, where they hyped up the party, talking about how great it is we're coming together. We're gonna be a centrist party. We're gonna ignore the extremes of the right and the left, even though these so-called extremes on the left are actually hugely popular with the public. In general, we've talked about that. Everybody's talked about that. What that so-called extreme, left supports is actually what a majority of American support. And we already have a pretty good centrist party here in the United States today. It's called the democratic party. It's very big. It's very powerful and it's very centrist. So I don't think launching a third party that says, Hey, we're gonna be even more centrist than these centrist is a smart idea. But honestly, I don't think these people thought any of this through. I think they wanted the money and attention. I, I firmly believe that's why Andrew Yang did this. He has failed repeatedly as a candidate. People do not like him. And one of the biggest reasons they do not like him is cuz the guy has one policy and you know what that is without me even having to say it beyond universal basic income, Andrew Yang has nothing. And I know the yang gang is gonna jump in here and be like, you gotta read his policy pages. I literally did back during the, uh, 2020 presidential campaign and everything on that website, eventually all tied back to universal basic income cuz that's the only thing the guy could talk about. We have seen him do interviews where he is asked other things and he fumbles like a rookie running back that doesn't belong in the NFL. That's what he is. And he's teaming up with Republicans with this new party, which by the way, doesn't even have a policy platform. They said, don't worry, that's coming in a few months. So you formed a party without even knowing what the F you for folks, that's a gr okay, you don't start a new thing and say, ah, we're gonna figure out what we believe later. Go ahead and support us Uhuh. That's a gr and I hope People open their eyes and understand that they're not unified because they all have common beliefs. They don't know what they believe yet. They told us they don't know what they believe yet, but they want your money. They want your membership. They want all that. And then they'll tell you later on down the road, maybe, probably, probably not what they actually stand for, but by then, they've got your money, right? Totally legitimate too. I mean, legally speaking, it is actually legitimate that doesn't make it the right thing. The United States needs more political parties. I've been saying that for years, even though I am a Democrat, we need more parties.
