Dr. James Roede obtained a B.S. in Physiology from Michigan State University and a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Colorado. Dr. Roede has also completed postdoctoral training in the fields of systems biology and thiol redox signaling at Emory University. James is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado where his lab studies Gene-Environment interactions in the contexts of pesticide exposure and PD, as well as Down syndrome. His laboratory utilizes novel induced pluripotent stem cell approaches to model exposures to relevant cell types, like human neurons. The laboratory also makes use of targeted and untargeted -omics approaches to interrogate disease and toxicant mechanism. Parkinson’s Foundation.
