Friends, there are A LOT of great fixed blade knives on the market for camping, hiking, bushcraft and general outdoor activities. This list can’t include them all. This is my list, my take on some great ones and essentially my top 4. Some things to consider when choosing your knife for bushcraft or camping: what is the main use or uses for the knife for your application? Do you have a size, steel type and handle length or type you prefer? Sheath options and quality. Will you also be carrying a saw, axe or pocket knife? Or will this one knife have to do it all? In my top 4 knives, one thing to consider about the F1 is the sheath, I bought one with a plastic sheath and if I could do it over I would have picked the leather sheath option.
