I bought this IHC Snap Together Water Tower for a bargain. I decided that I would do a complete makeover and make this look like it was anything but a cheap plastic structure kit from the 90's. I am currently building an HO scale model railroad called the Barelee Makinet Railroad in a 12x20 outdoor shed. This fictional railroad operated in the Colorado Rockies. It will encompass two periods, the Victorian Period from the late 1880's and a second period during the height of the depression era in 1933. In order to do this, the railroad will have interchangeable towns and cities that will be built on removable, drop in sections. With just a few of these placed in strategic locations, and a few changes to motive power and rolling stock, I can go from on period of modeling, to the next. I will be converting many budget friendly plastic kits from Bachmann, IHC, Model Power, Tyco, Mantua, Model Die Cast i.e. MDC, Athearn, Roundhouse, and others just to prove that you can have fun building a model train layout without going broke or taking out a second mortgage.
