Working at Height accidents can only be wiped out by a joined up approach from all stakeholders. In 2011 the UK's safety organisations convened in Birmingham at the Access Industry Forum's Knowledge Base to tackle the issue in a collaborative manner. The energy and determination to accelerate and achieve the goal of no more working at height accidents ever was inspired by the moving presentation from Jason Anker, who was himself a victim of a fall from height. Organisations involved in this historic event included... Access Industry Forum (AIF) Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists (ATLAS) Association for Project Safety (APS) British Safety Council (BSC) British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Edge Protection Federation (EPF) Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training (FASET) Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Ladder Association Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA) Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association (SAEMA) UK Contractors Group (UKCG) Work at Height Safety Association (WAHSA) Watch all the discussions and how together we can map a plan forward by visiting www.accessindustryforum.org.uk We can only rid the world of work at height accidents by working together.
