Welcome Training Documentary | ESC Volunteering – AUM & CEVOS

This documentary presents the Welcome Training (WT) organized within the European Solidarity Corps volunteering program implemented by AUM and CEVOS in Transylvania, Romania. The Welcome Training is a key educational moment at the beginning of each volunteering cycle. What makes it special is that it is designed and facilitated by Senior ESC Volunteers for the newly arrived Junior ESC Volunteers, with the guidance and support of AUM and CEVOS. This approach creates a strong peer-to-peer learning environment, where experience, knowledge, and responsibility are passed from one volunteer generation to the next. Through non-formal education methods, reflection sessions, team activities, and wellbeing workshops, volunteers develop essential competences such as cooperation, intercultural understanding, communication, emotional awareness, and community engagement. More than a training, this process strengthens the volunteer community in Sighisoara and encourages leadership, autonomy, and shared responsibility, transforming volunteers from participants into active contributors to the learning environment.
