ETCI tackling the European scale-up financing gap

The European Tech Champions Initiative (ETCI) has been created to address the #scelup financing gap in the European venturecapital ecosystem. With 5 European countries and the EIB/EIF as initial contributors, ETCI is now open for other Member States to join. Its initial resources are €3.7 billion with the objective to situate the first generation of the ETCI funds at a magnitude of around €4-5 billion, kickstarting this market segment and catalysing further investments from the private sector.
