Meta Knightmare Ultra is an upgraded version of the bonus Meta Knightmare game in Kirby: Knightmare in Dreamland (which I haven't recorded yet). Obviously, it stars the game's Chibi-Batman, Meta Knight. He's on a mission to prove that he's the strongest fighter in the galaxy. How does he prove this? In layman's terms, he goes through all 5 of the original Super Star's main games: Spring Breeze, Dyna Blade, The Great Cave Offensive, Milky Way Wishes, and EVEN Revenge of Meta Knight before that! -------------- Using him in this game is like using him in Nightmare in Dream Land. There are still a bunch of differences, however, as this game also accomplished the "Ultra" part of its title by giving Meta Knight new skills, which are accessed with the Touch Screen. As he defeats enemies, bosses, and minibosses, he gains points, which he need to get a certain amount of if he wants to use these skills: Meta Quick/8 Points: Speeds Meta Knight up for a few seconds. This also enhances his dash attack for more range. Just don't' get carried away, you'll run right into something painful. Knight Call/2 Points: Summon a Blade Knight to be a Helper Meta Knight. He will speed up and heal with Meta Knight while he's out in play, and you can also dispose of him anytime you want. Unlike other modes, he's the only Helper you're able to have, and once he runs out of health, he dies instantly. Heal/10 Points: Fully Recover Meta Knight's health. This is necessary since there's less food items in this mode than usual, and now Maxim Tomatoes at all. Mach Tornado/30 Points: It should really be called the Ultra Mach Tornado, as Meta Knight unleash a massive tornado that splits into 2 and travel outward. This kills every enemies on the screen, and does severe damage to those that survive. It would be a very good and fitting Final Smash for him to use in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Somebody should actually hack the game the make that happen! Besides these skills, Meta Knight's gameplay in Super Star Ultra combines a stronger version of Sword Kirby's moveset with Wing Kirby's flying. Meta Knight actually has more moves than Sword Kirby. The game is still a bit harder due to, again, the smaller frequency food and total lack of Maxim Tomatoes. Also, since you're Meta Knight, certain areas will take either longer or shorter to get through than they were if you're using Kirby. The game is also a Time Attack to see how fast you get through each Level, and Meta Knightmare Ultra as a whole. Depending on what you do, this whole mode can take longer than getting 100% at The Great Cave Offensive. Levels, in this case, are divided up into games, with Level 1 taking place throughout the entirety of Spring Breeze. Once you defeat one boss, you automatically move onto the next stage without any dance breaks. "Level 1", as such, is completed once Meta beats its last boss, King Dedede. Between Levels, you can save your progress and heal before Meta Knight moves onto the next Level, which is all of Dyna Blade.
