From 1999 to 2016, Mellie thrived as a professional songwriter and performer in the Australian music industry. Notably, her talent shone through in 2003 when she penned tracks for The Saddle Club, with the catchy song "Bounce" earning a coveted spot on their "Hello World" best-of album in 2004. She became a published songwriter with Shock Records (Shock Entertainment).
