Many founders dream of overnight success stories, but Giuseppe’s journey is more familiar to most entrepreneurs: His first startup, Ooze Drinks, failed. Inspired by the shocking reality of food waste, Giuseppe eventually gave the UK food industry a second go, and created a health snacks line called Gusto Snacks using “wonky fruit” produce, along with co-founder Claudio Owusu. A financial grant from Shell Energy of £5,000 and early success in the Supermarkets spelled the beginning of eventual success for Gusto Snacks.
