Scrutineering Checklist Race Car Tech Inspection Circuit Racing & Historic Motorsport in the UK MSAUK A guide for, hopefully, passing Scrutineering (Tech Inspection) in the UK (MSAUK). This is aimed mainly at clubman drivers, closed cockpit cars in the UK and possibly Europe, always check the requirements before you get to the circuit. Having a few weeks to make the changes you need is far better than just a few hours. The car I will be checking over is the MGB that I race in the Equipe Classic Racing series, the checklist is compiled from my own experience at the race track and covers areas that the scrutineers will most likely check over, and some common problems. I should add I am not an official scrutineer but the video details the basic safety checks I go through before bringing my car to the circuit. Going through these should give your car a good chance of passing scrutineering. At the time of filming; March 2022, Covid restrictions are still in place and usual scrutineering is not taking place at the circuits. With this is mind it seems more important to make sure your is safe before taking it out on track. If you feel there is anything I have missed out from the list, please don't hesitate to let me know. Always check with your series or championship co-ordinator to make sure your car and equipment are eligible. It's important to remember that scrutineers are there for your safety; it's up to them to sign off a car that they deem fit to race. Showing that you listened to their advice and presenting a well looked-after vehicle makes their life (and yours) much easier.
