Please watch in HD! -------- PLOT ---------- Kiara has been physically and verbally abused by Simba her whole life, and as a result, is very depressed. As the video starts, Kiara is trying to commit suicide by running straight into a brush fire. She collapses from smoke inhalation and passes out. Kovu, a rogue lion, comes across her while he is trying to escape, and carries her to safety. Instead of being grateful, Kiara yells at Kovu for ruining her suicide attempt. Kovu is bewildered by her reaction, and vows to learn more about this lioness. Time passes, and the two lions grow closer. Kovu tries to convince Kiara that life is worth living, but she remains as hopeless as ever. Determined to show her how much she means to him, Kovu kisses her. Kiara is delighted, as she has never been shown such affection in her life. They begin dating in secret. As their relationship progresses, Kiara begins to open up to Kovu. One night, she confides in him that her father used to beat her when she was a child. Kovu comforts her, but unbeknownst to the two lovers, Simba sees them cuddling under the stars. Back at Pride Rock, Simba confronts Kiara and forbids her from seeing Kovu ever again. She runs away in tears. Kovu notices Kiara's absence, and guesses that it has something to do with Simba. Kovu goes to Pride Rock, berates Simba for being so coldhearted and abusive towards his own daughter, and demands to know where she is. Simba is pissed, but tells Kovu what happened between the two of them. Kovu has a feeling that Kiara will do something drastic if he doesn't find her in time, and runs off in a panic. Kovu sees Kiara standing on the edge of a cliff. He screams out to her, but it's too late-- she throws herself into the gorge. Kovu rushes to the bottom and digs through the rubble only to find Kiara's lifeless body. Stricken with grief, Kovu wanders aimlessly through the Pride Lands, remembering the good times he shared with Kiara. At the end, he is unable to bear living without his beloved, and jumps into the river to his death. ---------------------------- Jeez, my 4th video with a Tokio Hotel song. o.o I don't know what it is about this band that makes me want to edit to their songs. I even had another AMV in the works, but I need some more variety in my music choices, so I'm gonna scrap it. (Pssst - if anyone else feels like taking over a half-baked Kovu/Kiara AMV to "Automatic," let me know.) Yay, voiceovers! :D This was my first real attempt at using them, and I really like how they came out. I hope they made the plot easier to understand. I try to make my storyline vids self-explanatory, so you can follow along without reading the description (but just in case you like reading, there's a whole novel waiting for you anyway xD). The bit with Kovu jumping into the river was inspired by Keyinei's "Quote" vid. Which is awesome, by the way, and also (half) made with WMM! Song and artist are in the credits.
