I Investigated the folklore, history and hauntings of the ghosts of a Lady and a Highwayman, who were supposedly lovers at Dovers Hill in Gloucestershire. This video tells the story with narration, then visits the location to investigate & try to uncover the facts. It includes places such as Dovers Hill, The Cotswold Way, Chipping Campden and Weston Sub Edge. I also compare different versions of the folktale showing how it has changed overtime, going back to 1987. Is this folktale older than this? Disclaimer: I am not a historian but I am human so I may make mistakes from time to time. I have tried my best to research and fact check within a limited time frame. Please take the time to look at other sources to make your own mind up. Please keep an open mind. My channel is tiny at the moment but, I would love it to grow. If you want to help me, please click the like (thumbs up), subscribe for free and you can even pop a comment on the video for me to see. I put a lot of time into making my videos from researching, filming to editing and creating my own thumbnails. I make my videos the old fashioned way. (Probably based more on the creative embellished version from Nanson’s work. There are so many details in this version that it is almost certainly embellished and gaps filled in for a more rounded longer story. The double gate is mentioned here.)
