Whether you’re a beginner baker or a bread lover, you’ll learn how to: 🍞 Make a soft, fluffy whole wheat dough 🍏 Prepare a creamy juicy apple cinnamon filling 🌿 Shape perfect braided buns 🔥 Bake them to golden perfection These buns look stunning, taste amazing, and make your kitchen smell like a bakery! 🧂 Ingredients For the Apple Filling: 1 to 2 medium apples 1 tbsp unsalted butter 2 tbsp brown sugar ½ tsp cinnamon powder A pinch of salt For the Dough: ½ cup lukewarm milk 3 tbsp sugar 2 tsp active dry yeast ¼ cup melted unsalted butter 1 large egg 2 cups whole wheat flour ¼ tsp salt For the Cream Cheese Filling: ¼ cup cream cheese 2 tbsp heavy cream 1 tsp condensed milk For Brushing: 1 small egg 🥣 Instructions For the Apple Filling: Remove the apple core and chop it into small cubes Add butter, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt Cook over low to medium heat until the apples soften and the juice thickens For the bun: In a bowl, combine lukewarm milk and sugar. Add yeast and let it rest for about 10 minutes, or until the yeast is activated Add melted butter and egg to the wet mixture and mix well In a separate bowl, mix together whole wheat flour and salt Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and knead for 8–10 minutes until you get a soft, smooth dough Cover and let the dough rest for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size Once proofed, divide the dough into two halves Take one half and divide it into 6 equal dough balls Place the dough balls in a mini pie pan or small round mold and flatten each one to about 1 cm thickness Divide the other half of the dough into 6 equal balls.
