First Ukulele Flow Tutorial of a long serie! 00:00 - Introduction That's a ukulele flow you're hearing, and in this video, I'll show you exactly how to play it yourself. Grab your ukulele, stay focused, and I'll guide you step by step. 00:21 - Getting Started To get started, we need two key components: 1. Left hand: A chord 2. Right hand: A picking pattern We're starting in the key of C today, giving us seven notes out of twelve to work with. Our first chord is C major - it's the stable center of this key and feels like home. 01:00 - Picking Practice Now it's time to focus on the picking pattern. Hold that C chord and practice the picking - there's no such thing as too much practice when it comes to picking. Take time to master this foundation before moving forward. 01:37 - Adding Chords Let's expand our progression with these chords: C major G A minor F Special Technique: We're using broken chords, meaning: Only use the last two strings (E and A strings) Keep the C and G strings open This creates a beautiful foundation where the melody can shine 02:16 - C G Am F Practice Let's take it slow and practice these chord changes. The progression is starting to take shape, but we can make it even better. 03:06 - Tweaking We're making two key modifications: 1. Extending the F chord to two measures to give it more space 2. Adding a substitute chord variation: First time through: Play the F chord Second time: Play a substitute C chord in a different position 03:46 - Ukulele Flow - Full Story Now it's time to put it all together. Grab your ukulele and play along!
