The jump start is not light as its weight is roughly 7 pounds but I have no problem carrying it with one hand. It features a one button design for automatic mode (It has 2 extra force start buttons for manual 12V/24V if G19 fails to auto detect the voltage from battery somehow). Short press the button would show me the battery capacity indicator in 4 LEDs (0, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) and long press the button would activate flash light. Press the button again after flash light is ON would switch light patterns from Solid, Strobe, to SOS. There is also a 5V, 2.4A USB port to charge all my gadgets as G19 has a huge built-in 24000mAh Lithium-Ion battery. I have tried G19 on my SUV and sedan and it is able to automatically detect the battery voltage once the clamps are connected correctly. The basic operation is pretty simple - 1. connect black clamp to car battery GROUND (-) (or any metal part of the car which can be a ground). 2. connect red clamp to car battery POWER (+) 3. wait for G19 to detect voltage and either 12V or 24V led would light. 4. Start engine. Be NOTE that in step 3, if no LED light comes up, do check cable connections first. If everything looks correct and light still doesn't come up, manual approach with "force start" would be needed.
