Gibb River Rd Part 2 - Mount Elizabeth Station

A bit of a shorter one this week but we just wanted to highlight this place. Mount Elizabeth Station is roughly half way across the Gibb and a lot of people that we talked to didn't stop here. This station is 30kms off the Gibb Road and has incredible camping, nice food and a great place to stock up your freezer full of affordable meat straight from the paddocks. We honestly loved this place it is $25 per person per night which is usually too pricey for us but we were very keen to have a look at the indigenous art that they have at the gorges here. Little did we know when we rocked up that this place would become one of our highlights! We stayed two nights here and did both gorges and they were incredible. The first gorge Wunumara Gorge is tied for first place on both Tam and my favourite gorges on the Gibb. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to one day!
