Unlucky Gift / Pechowy Prezent (1995) by MIRAGE Software is a rather standard point and click adventure, of Polish production. A rather niche title , which is unlikely to interest too many people. But due to the sentiment I have for this game, I decided to translate it, because why not. Maybe there will be someone interested in the plot XD hahahha. What's there to say, just some asshole stole a brand-new skateboard that our main character wanted so badly (see the intro). Our task is to get the skateboard back by the time the class ends. The game is rather simple compared to other point and click games, surprisingly the game has a password system. So it is possible to return to each chapter without having to do a tedious save of the game progress. Once you know what to do the game is really short and can be finished in 40+ minutes, but without a description you can definitely get stuck in a few places. This is caused by the fact that, for example, several items are so small that they are hard to see. Fortunately, using items is rather logical in this game, which can't be said about other games in the clicker genre. The graphics and animation are rather good. The music when it plays at all is acceptable at best. Plot, on the other hand, I have to admit that for such a simple concept, it seems to be well guided. In some places I was even positively surprised by the solutions to the puzzles offered by the developers. It's not Monkey Island or Gobliins, but entertainment and brainstorming it definitely provides . And I guess that's what this genre is all about.
