Happy Hobby Days and Keep 'em Running! See you soon! ---------------------- Wow! That was fun! Even more fun than I expected. Just love the looks of the Rising Fighter in this 'Super Hornet'/'Hornet III'-style with the Ampro rear brace and the black color. And the combination of a black Sport Tuned Motor and black 19T steel pinion suits it just fine, I would say. For those who are new to The Rising Fighter history, this model (Tamiya 58416) from 2008 is based on the Tamiya Grasshopper II chassis, a modified Tamiya Super Hornet body, a Tamiya DT-01 Gear Box and a DT-01 Mad Fighter Wing. Rightly so, it can be regarded as a "Hornet III" and the last of the Tamiya Hornets/Hoppers. This is my take on a custom homeage/tribute edition. One thing still needs to be sorted out though. As expected, the rear suspension is much, much too hard. Even harder than expected, to be honest. Actually so hard and rigid that it doesn't move or work. I will probably run it like this a couple of times more (it is quite fun and the weather is quite good at the moment!) and then I need to go back to the work bench and work out a much smoother and softer rear shock set up for it. Looking at the bright side, the hard-as-stone rear set up provided some excellent "wild-horse-hopper-action" in slow motion. Hope you found this video interesting! It was purely intended for viewers with an interest in the Tamiya Grasshopper II, the Tamiya Super Hornet and/or the Tamiya Rising Fighter.
