Police have just released new video of a hit-and-run collision that happened earlier this week at a Phoenix gas station and left a man fighting for his life. The images of a pickup truck running over 35-year-old Sean Capps are tough to watch. Phoenix police released surveillance video of the incident that happened Sunday night in the parking lot of a Quick Trip located off Interstate 17 and Peoria Avenue. Investigators hope someone knows who was behind the wheel of the pickup truck that ran down Capps and dragged him through the parking lot. Arizona's Family spoke to Capps family about the incident. "He dragged him 50 feet, and after leaving him lying dead on the floor. He ran him over with tires of truck and left him for dead," said Capps' mother, Mercedes Martin. Capps, a 35-year-old electrician, had reportedly stopped by the QT for an energy drink when he was confronted by a stranger who threatened to shoot him. Martin said that her son went inside the QT thinking the situation was over, but when he came out, he was run over by the pickup truck, then dragged across the parking lot. "This guy had no reason to what he did, none," said Martin. "So now my son is lying in a hospital in ICU, lucky to be alive. He is in surgery and this man is still on the loose." Capps suffered a number of injuries, including broken ribs, a broken pelvis, a fractured ankle and severe facial injuries.
