Kyosho Mini-Z BMW M3 GTR Body (R246-1117) HRC GLD 1/28 Drift Chassis Today let's check out my favorite Mini-Z body of my favorite car ever, the BMW E46 M3. This body is special to me because I used to drive a 2006 M3. It was the standard version, not the souped up GTR version. As usual, Kyosho did an amazing job replicating the proportion and details at 1/28 scale. A huge reason why I'm so gravitated towards 1/28 RC is because of these Kyosho Autoscale and R246 bodies. This kind of ecosystem simply doesn't exist anywhere else. Under the body is my tried and true HRC GLD chassis. This is undoubtedly my favorite RC car. It's configured at 98mm wheelbase with the motor in the low position. It uses an Atomic sensorless ESC, Atomic 3500kv motor. It's been upgraded quite a bit and I plan to create a separate video to share my thoughts on these upgrade parts. There are many 1/28 drift chassis options on the market today. I still consider GLD as one of the great options. Since I don't want to damage the body, I don't race with it but it's perfect for drifting. Being a RWD car in real life, M3 is a realistic match with the RWD GLD chassis. The micro drift car scene is about the build, tune, and drive. But also just important is looking good while drifting.
