Om Namo Bhagawate Sri Ramanaya ! Delighted and blessed to post a video on “Sravanam” which exhorts that it is not a mere an organ connected physical process, but needs special attention As per Hinduism Sravanam, Mananam and Nidhidhyasana are the three main stages in the spiritual practice of an aspirant to achieve Moksha or self-realization.Sravanam of scriptures alone gives Jnana (knowledge) whereas Mananam and Nidhidhysana are useful for assimilation of knowledge gained through Sravanam Sravanam / Listening is the first step into the spiritual realm. It is listening to the teachings of the sages on the Upanishads and Advaita Vedanta, and studying the Vedantic texts, from a qualified guru. Absorbing messages and impressions about spiritual topics by hearing or reading about them provides the basis for our spiritual journey. In this stage the seeker learns about the reality of Brahman and the identity of atman. Sravanam removes the illusion of the Self being one with the body, etc. If sravanam is performed properly one will feel confidence and unlimited enthusiasm rising up inside to dive deep into self realization. In this video “Sravanam“- Sri V.V. Brahmam speaks about the importance and technic of practicing Sravanam in our spiritual journey and Bhagavan's teachings on the same.
