Thank you very much! 🙏 So, the Solar 42F experimental drone synthesiser by Elta Music. This is a solo performance on this machine (although I did add the Ventris reverb pedal too). I have wanted one of these since they were putting out sound demos of them, when they were at the presale stage. After it was delivered, that same evening I spent a couple of hours playing around and trying to get to know what does what. I admit I didn't manage to make anything all that musical in that first session. As such, I went to bed thinking to myself, I know I'm going to like this synth, but I need to earn it... by learning how to use it well. So the day afterwards, I closed the curtains and started to set it up again and get the recording equipment ready. I didn't know what I was going to play or try to do, other than "I will start with only a couple of oscillators, and let it grow and evolve". I really enjoyed this performance and it led to some interesting places. I will keep the notes here short, because I talk you through some things in the video itself.
