Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined. 2. Sift the flour and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients along with the salt alternating with the milk until everything is combined. 3. Fold in the blueberries. 4. Grease a 9 inch square baking pan and add the cake batter. Smooth out the top. 5. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 6. To make the brown sugar sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan then add the flour. Mix until there are no lumps in the flour. Now add the brown sugar and cook until it melts. Add the boiling water, vanilla and salt.
