22 February Seoul, Korea -1℃ / 30℉ Incheon is a massive city right next to Seoul, but the vibe here is completely different. This time, I’m exploring Geumchang-dong for the first time, starting in Baedari. Baedari has a long and complex history. Over a hundred years ago, people who were forced out of what is now Chinatown and the old Japanese districts settled here. Later, during the Korean War, it became a refuge for displaced families. Today, even with ongoing road construction, you can still find used bookstores and small workshops that have been part of the neighborhood for years. As I walked past the Dong-gu Office and through a narrow alley, I entered another neighborhood. This area is a shantytown, with tiny rooms packed closely together, something you’d typically associate with a slum. But if you look closer, you can really see the history and everyday lives of the people who live here. Now, let’s dive into this journey through Geumchang-dong, Incheon! 🔻Google Maps : https://maps.app.goo.gl/FK2Brv8p1yr9z... 🔻Playlists of Walks Channel • Visit Korea🇰🇷 • Snow Walks • Visit Japan🇯🇵 • Visit Indonesia🇮🇩 🔷For supporting my channel🔷 Subscribe: / @pit-a-pat Buy Me a Coffee: https://bmc.link/enjoyyourtravel Paypal: https://paypal.me/afterawalk Contact: [email protected] #WalkingOn #Incheonwalk #Geumchangdong #koreatravel #4KTravel Copyright © 2025 All Rights Reserved by Walking On
