In this video, I demonstrate how to generate and test Mahalanobis distances to facilitate identification of potential multivariate outliers. The example involves performing regression analysis through SPSS and saving the Mahalanobis distance values to your dataset. I demonstrate how to test the significance of distance values by constructing a p-value variable using the Compute function. I also demonstrate a graphical strategy for identification of potential outliers.
