Images of the liberation of Groningen, which was liberated by bitter fighting from April 13 to 16, 1945 by the Canadian 2nd Infantry Division supported by tanks of the Fort Gray Regiment of the 2nd Armored Brigade. Before and during these battles, extensive damage was caused to the buildings in the center, where capital buildings were completely or partially destroyed.
