Rear Audio without Dealer Activation - Sprinter Cargo Van

This video details the addition of an audio amplifier that drastically improves sound and eliminates the need to have Mercedes activate the rear speaker outputs, which is normally required on these vans. The amplifier has the ability to copy the signal from the front speakers to a new virtual rear channel, and this is what eliminates the trip to the dealer. (Set the channel selector switch to the 1/2 setting to do this.) I also detail how to add these components without cutting any factory wires. Sound quality is dramatically improved with the amp and rear speakers. Without dealer activation you don't have access to a fader function, so front/rear fade will be fixed at 50/50%, which is fine by me. Please note that the updated amplifier no longer has speaker level inputs, so you need a $10 adapter linked below to go from speaker wires to RCA to feed the amp.
