On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at 3:00PM est – 4:00PM est, MOOVZ, in partnership with grassroots organization YourHolidayMom.com will be creating and live streaming a virtual Christmas via the MOOVZ app. The in-app ‘Moments’ section will stream a #YourHolidayMom fun holiday celebration with activist and model Colby Melvin, alongside other special guests from the LGBTQ spotlight who will be accompanying MOOVZ members in need of a welcoming, festive atmosphere. MOOVZ and #YourHolidayMom are joining to spread messages of love and encouragement to the LGBTQ youth who are not accepted by their own families. YourHolidayMom.com provides personally crafted written, audio, and video messages of encouragement to give youth in need hope and inspiration. By partnering with MOOVZ, they will reach more LGBTQ youth than ever with their letters of motherly love. MOOVZ members will also be supporting each other via the MOOVZ app by offering motivational holiday wishes to one another under the hashtag #YourHolidayMom. YourHolidayMom.com founder and mother of a transgender child, Robin Rice, began the project knowing that there are “so many mom’s who would love anyone’s child no matter what”, thus her purpose, with all of YourHolidayMom.com’s supporters is “to write holiday letters so that they could know we are out here sending our love”. “We are just family members who care and have created a way to show it during the often emotionally difficult holiday season”, says Robin Rice. “Isn’t that what the season is supposed to be about – family, caring, and people coming together? We may have to do it in cyberspace, but we can still make a difference in someone’s life.” With this year’s live streaming holiday parties, MOOVZ and #YourHolidayMom will be more connected to their audience to include them in the holiday season.
