IIT Guwahati Student Arrested for Alleged ISIS Alliance | India Today News

In a recent development in Assam, an IIT Guwahati student has been arrested by the police on suspicion of pledging allegiance to ISIS. According to the Assam police, the student, studying technology, had allegedly written a letter to ISIS using his LinkedIn profile. The police claim to have recovered an email in which the student expressed his intent to join ISIS. Following a thorough verification, an investigation was initiated which led to his arrest from the Hojo area, near Guwahati.
