Espeon has an interesting hidden ability called Magic Bounce which bounces back a bunch of Status moves back, like Will-O-Wisp, Swagger, Hazards, and stat lowering attacks. Espeon has a base speed of 110 so with max investment and Timid nature we out speed a lot of the meta, which is a very valuable quality on a strong Pokemon. It has a base SP. ATK stat of 130 which makes it hit very hard. With powerful attacks like Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, and Dazzling Gleam it can do a lot of damage to a bunch of meta mons. If you wanted to you could play this Pokemon as a support Pokemon as well since it has a bunch of strong Status-Category moves like, Reflect, Light Screen, Yawn, Trick Room, Morning Sun, and Ally Switch. It even gets Calm Mind which you can use a Follow Me user as its partner to set up for big sweeps. In Singles this Pokemon is played similarly with max SPEED and SP.ATK however we use Trick and Choice Specs in Singles to disrupt setup mons and do more damage.
