"Garlic Ginger Paste Recipe HAPPY VAGABONDS FARM·SATURDAY, JANUARY 30, 2016 4 oz garlic - loose paper peeled (okay to leave inner skin) 4 oz ginger chopped into small chunks (the smaller the better) cover with EVOO pulse in blender until thick paste consistency make sure that you pulse really well - because little chunks make syringing difficult! add 1/4 cup ACV (the good stuff with the ‘mother’ in it!) - blend well add 2 heaping TBSP cayenne (good quality! At least 35k scoville units) - blend some more add 2 TBSP blackstrap molasses - blend again pour paste into 1 qt jar add 1/8 cup hot water (distilled water is best!) to blending carafe and shake to get everything that’s left in the carafe, then add to quart jar. cap jar with plastic lid (the vinegar in the paste will cause a metal lid to rust and leech) shake before use To serve: If I am feeding 7 does, I put 1 TBSP for each doe into a pint jar. Then add 2 TBSP water for each doe. Then I add 1 extra TBSP paste and 2 TBSP water to the jar to account for waste. (So, for example, 8 TBSP paste and 16 TBSP water for a herd of 7 does.) Lately I have also been adding 2 drops per doe (14 drops) of food grade orange oil. (Based on a scientific study that I read and wanted to see the efficacy in my own herd.) I have also made a tea of black walnut hull powder and added to the garlic ginger paste in lieu of water for an extra oomph during particularly wet and warm, worm-friendly weather. (1 tsp black walnut hull powder to 1 cup hot distilled water, steeped for 20 minutes, then poured through a filter) This equals about 25-30ccs of thin, drench consistency paste per doe. Some does may get a little more, some may get a little less. I pretty much dose on an individual basis taking FaMACHA score and overall health of each doe into consideration. This is literally a health panacea! This tonic is anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, super anti-oxidant, immune booster, prebiotic, great for aiding in digestion, a source of potassium, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, magnesium and selenium, loaded with vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E!
