He is one of the few people to be granted a Grand Master Diploma by Grand Master Florendo Visitacion and the only actively teaching Grand Master in Suffolk County. He has dedicated over 4 decades to the practice, study and teaching of Jiujitsu and has instructed over 7,000 students (one-third of which are children and teens). His many contributions include 10 videos in cooperation with Panther Productions, as well as countless demonstrations at local schools and universities. Presently, his videos are being sold by Century Martial Arts, as well as other Martial Arts supply stores throughout the United States. His videos are known throughout the world and used by West Point Academy in N.Y. to train their officers in the art of Self Defense. Along with Jiujitsu, Supreme Grand Master Galante is also skilled in Karate, Judo, Arnis Stick Fighting, Kendo, Aikido, Gung- Fu, Escrima and Kali. He studied the art of Sanuces under Master Moses Powell and is also a master in the internal style of Tai Chi known as Liou Ho Pa Fa as well as the Tai Chi Sword. In February 2009, Professor Galante also achieved official certification as a Master of Reiki. Professor Galante, as he is known by his students, opened up the Vee-Jitsu Martial Arts Academy in 1971. While buildings may have changed over the years, the foundation of his love and devotion for the martial arts remains unaltered. All students of all levels are welcomed.
