📚 DIY Dust Jacket for Hardback Books | Easy & Budget-Friendly Tutorial! Want to protect your favorite hardback books without breaking the bank? In this video, I’ll show you my first effort at making a custom dust jacket using affordable materials you probably already have at home! Whether your book came without a dust jacket or you just want to add some personality to your shelves, this quick DIY is a perfect solution. You can watch me cover my copy of The Song of the First Blade (The Bladeborn Saga #1) by T. C. Edge. 🔧 How-To: Photocopy the front cover, spine, and back cover. Tape or rubber cement onto large paper. I used 11x17 paper. Photocopy that to get a unified picture Cut the height to size. Wrap it in "plastic". I use Brodart Just-a-Fold 3 rolls. On my oversized hardback, I gave a little extra polyester, since my flaps were too short. And then leave it on your bookshelf for the polyester to better hold its shape.
