Been a while since I last uploaded, so I felt like just posting whatever tbh. Gameplay is in bronze WT with jblu, we'll see how high rank I can get before plateauing. I haven't really been gaming much these days, so much coding and theorizing for my electronics projects, more on that in another video. I used an 8bitdo ultimate 2c bluetooth controller which is cheap and meh. Its 100Hz, doesn't seem to have any firmware level gyro smoothing or much stick smoothing. Since I haven't played in a while, I can't really tell how bad the 100Hz is. If you think the gameplay in the video is good, maybe it will help you feel more comfortable buying it. Other than the 100Hz, the controller feels very premium and my only other complaint is that is has extra shoulder buttons instead of extra back buttons. The ultimate 2 non-c controllers should be better polling rate wise and overall. It is asymmetric which usually means its R1/R2 buttons are designed to be pressed by index finger only, but I use 4 finger grip (index for R1, middle for R2) and it feels nice still. In the video, L4 is bound to DPAD DOWN, and R4 is bound to DPAD RIGHT, which is for voice chat and melee respectively. I have somewhat recently been on a bit of a spending spree, purchasing many cheap controller in the hopes to find a great budget controller. I think if you want pretty much guaranteed decent gyro, just get gamesir cyclone 2 or gamesir supernova. I own the PXN P5, gamesir nova HD, gamesir T4 pro, 6 no name chinese controllers and the 8bitdo one and they all have their own issues. PXN P5 has horrible latency on the sticks in switch mode (which is sadly a fixable issue in firmware but they haven't done it). In xbox mode the sticks are amazing, and I assume they just ported the logic over to the switch mode, which has 125Hz polling rate by default which made the lag insanely high. Assuming the logic is like "average the stick samples of the previous 4 readings" and they take 1 reading per poll, it would make sense why this issue occurs. On xbox mode (1000Hz), you're averaging the data with data that is at max 3ms old. On switch mode (125Hz), you're averaging the data with data that is at max 24ms old... Other than that the controller is actually great and amazingly priced, pls fix PXN. Nova HD is 100Hz and has a little gyro smoothing. Bummer, cos I liked the ergos on that a little more than the 8bitdo. The smoothing is just enough for me not to recommend it tbh. Gamesir T4 pro is nice, not great ergos for 4 finger grip on the triggers specifically, but decent. Came out the box with over 5% stick drift tho. Bigger issue is that there are 3 hardware revisions for it with significant feature differences. I have the SE 2 revision which is the newest, but if you get an older model, it might not be the same quality. You also can't guarantee which revision you get on aliexpress. The older 2 models are pretty old, so you probably will get the newest revision, so if you're willing to take the risk and are okay with some stick drift, that's an option. Official gamesir website will probably get you the newest model but it costs more, so I'd recommend you look to get gamesir supernova or gamesir cyclone 2 on a cheaper website like ali. There were 3 no name controllers that copy and pasted the dualshock 4 ergonomics. All had gyro smoothing that is bad enough to where I would NEVER recommend them. Massive bummer since one of them was 7 pounds and other than gyro is decent quality. Touchpad even worked on it. Here are the exact listings I orderd them from, some listings aren't even available anymore lol: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... ^For this I ordered the "P03 Black" one The 3rd listing doesn't even open anymore. "the page you requested can not be found". It was basically attempting to be a direct clone of the ds4, not even a slight change in design. Easy to tell it was fake due to how there was small gaps in the plastic connection. These other 2 controllers were recommended to me by THANKUN (korean gyro gamer). Both have decent gyro, build quality can feel a little meh, but who cares at this price. The first one is very large and the back buttons are horribly positioned. You can remove them with 1 screw, but then you have no back buttons lol. I don't mind the lack of, but you might. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... The second one is all round great for 2hand grip (index finger presses both R1 and R2) and has 2 back buttons. The back buttons are somewhat easy to press, but I think its manageable. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... The 8bitdo u2cb is what I have been using recently, but I'm still not sure if I would recommend it. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... I also got the aolion J20 joycons. They are very good price but there is noticeable lag unfortunately. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050...
