Chief Justice of India BR Gavai was attacked at the Supreme Court premises on Monday morning. A Supreme Court lawyer tried to throw his shoe at the CJI BR Gavai. The attacker, identified as 72-year-old Rakesh Kishore, was later taken into custody by the Delhi Police. Despite the severity of the incident, the Supreme Court registry refused to press any charges against Rakesh Kishore. After spending some time in police custody, Kishore was released by the Delhi Police. ..............................................................................................
