Palliative care reimagined - a whole population approach

Everyone experiences death, dying, loss and care giving multiple times in life, until our own final one. 1% of the population die every year and on average, 9 people are directly affected by this. These experiences affect 10% of the population each year. Yet palliative care services only reach a minority of these people. Reimagining palliative care means leaving no one behind. It means working with communities in equal partnerships and it means addressing issues of inequity which is riven throughout health services. This video is made up from clips of interviews with palliative care clinicians both in the UK and internationally talking about the transformation in their clinical practice and how their services are delivered, through taking this whole population approach. Everyone needs love a friendship. Communities are critical at end of life, not just an add on.
