Officials have released body camera footage showing a University of Cincinnati police officer fatally shooting an unarmed black man during a traffic stop. Officer Ray Tensing, who is white, killed Sam DuBose on July 19 in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mount Auburn. This video shows below shows the full recording of the traffic stop, with the moment of the shooting blurred. The shooting occurs at about the 1:45 mark of the video. (Handout photos) The video was released on Wednesday after a grand jury returned an indictment charging Tensing with murder. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said the video shows a “senseless” and “asinine” shooting by a man who “never should have been a police officer.” Tensing, 25, was fired by the University of Cincinnati after his arrest. He worked there for four years and was also a graduate of the university.
