Hot Sauce Club are 5 Dunedin locals who specialise in funky and energetic alternative-indie rock. The lads all met in their early days of study at the University of Otago, and decided after a few cold brews (possibly in the shower) to bring ‘Hot Sauce Club’ to fruition. Their debut album "Shower Beers" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Peter Molteno of 236 Studio. It combines the influences of a variety of local bands (The Clean, Marlins Dreaming, Soaked Oats), 90's overseas icons and modern day heroes (Pavement, Fontaines D.C., and Hockey Dad). With “Shower Beers” now out for the world to listen to, the Hot Sauce Club lads are well armed and feeling spicy enough to blow the roof off of a venue or two near you.
