How do you help children collaborate calmly, confidently, and safely in your well-being sessions? In this video, I share how I support collaboration in my children’s well-being classes, whether I’m teaching in schools or delivering community workshops. Collaboration is something I’m often asked about when people observe my sessions, and in this video I break down what’s really going on beneath the surface. I explore five key elements that help children work together successfully: Safety Choice Boundaries Structure Freedom All held together by the idea of autonomy. You’ll hear practical examples from my own classes, including how I: Support neurodivergent children in collaborative tasks Offer choice without losing structure Set clear boundaries around behaviour, safety, and consent Use open-ended tasks to encourage creativity and engagement Balance repetition with novelty to keep children regulated and involved This video is for: Children’s yoga teachers Mindfulness and well-being practitioners Educators and school staff Anyone supporting children’s emotional, physical, and mental well-being If you find managing groups of children challenging, you may also find my self-paced course Tame the Crowd Without Being Loud helpful. It’s designed to support calm, connected sessions without shouting or controlling behaviour. Find out more here: https://www.juliahankins.co.uk/tame-t... You can also book a mentoring session with me if you’d like personalised support: https://www.juliahankins.co.uk/mentor... I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. What supports collaboration in your classes? Do you agree or disagree with anything I share? ✨ Julia Founder of Well-Being Adventurers Move, Breathe, Relax and Have Fun for a Healthy Body, Mind and Heart
