Vivian Tan is passionate about enhancing real-life experiences through games and virtual worlds. She has been experimenting with creating interactive art galleries and archaeology simulations since the 1990's (when HTML was much more blah and 3D games were totally out of reach unless you had a bazillion dollars to burn). Starting 2006 Vivian taught herself 3D modeling/animation and built a virtual fashion brand in Second Life that attracted thousands of nerdy fashionistas. She graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2010 and worked with criminal/civil law firms while continuing to teach herself to code and create games. Vivian eventually caved into her true calling and became a full-time EdTech startup founder and game developer in 2013 with the launch of Mathbreakers, a 3D math game that even the most skeptical of grade-school kids have compared to Minecraft for math. In 2016, Vivian started Beast, Inc. to create adoptable fantastical pets for VR (to live out her dream as Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons).
