SAVING SICK VANDA ORCHID DURING FUNGUS INFESTATION | What I do to save it

Fungal rots can be an occasional problem when growing vandas outdoors. When they attack, treatment is challenging and the plant usually dies. It usually occur during rainy season where the plants are susceptible to different kind of diseases. On this video, ill explain step by step how I manage to save the vanda from a simple fungal attack turning to fusarium. Major causes for Fusarium are high salt content in the water and potting medium kept too moist for too long. Roots begin to rot and the base of the plant develops a back dry rot. The disease is spread to improper hygiene, generally as a result of using nonsterile cutting tools, which transfers the fungus from plant to plant. If left untreated, this disease can kill your orchid in 5 to 6 days and can be transfer from plant to plant on your collection.
