The Purpose of Safety

Recently my father passed away and as I sat with him in his final moments, I pondered what the purpose of safety was. I did this as I realized he was dying at a good age, with all his abilities and senses. He was independent and able to still do the things he loved doing. To me, that is why we want to be safe. We cannot stop every incident, although we should try to control energy when we identify it. There is no amount of safety that will prevent us all from dying. Death is a part of life. Instead, safety is about preserving our abilities. This allows us to live long and fulfilling lives. It allows us to make memories and accomplish our dreams while surrounded by friends and family. Safety is about stopping the big, life-changing, disabling, incidents that bring tons of hardship into our lives and onto our families lives. The Purpose of Safety is to live! Remember to subscribe.
