Michael Patchen, 29, splurged around £2,750 on the tank, Star Wars toys and figures and special coating to make them remain safe underwater in order to recreate the scenes, including iconic ones involving Darth Vader. "I got the idea simply from my love of the Star Wars franchise and when I decided to make my own fish tank I knew I wanted it to be Star Wars themed but found out that there were very few options out there for Star Wars fish tank decorations," Michael said today. "Until Covid-19 hit, I never had enough time to do anything like this but when it did, I decided to try this project while it was going on. After doing a ton of research, I stumbled across a new product that was not meant for fish tanks and once I knew it would be safe for fish I decided to give it a try.
