Hello! You've caught me wandering through the stunningly beautiful Canadian Tulip Festival on an absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon. It truly feels like summer has arrived to the Canadian Capital, and we're out to make the most of it! The Festival is nothing short of a visual delight - the largest festival of its kind! Over 11 days each May, the Canadian Tulip Festival celebrates the Tulip's beauty and its historic ties to Canada's capital. The outdoor event takes place at Commissioners Park, where over 300,000 tulips bloom alongside the Rideau Canal's picturesque Dows Lake. Visitors flock to the gardens in droves while pop up craft market vendors, food trucks and activity areas provide a wide array of entertainment and fun for all ages. The Festival unofficially began in 1945 with a special gift. The Royal Family of the Kingdom of the Netherlands took refuge in Ottawa during the Second World War, and Her Royal Highness, Princess Margriet was born here in 1943. Two years later, Canadian troops played a key role in liberating the Netherlands towards the end of the war. In gratitude, the Dutch government has sent Canada a gift of tulip bulbs every year since, inspiring what has become the Canadian Tulip Festival. The whole Capital pops with the flowers absolutely everywhere in amazing numbers, they are an absolute delight to all the senses after winter and everyone just cannot get enough. Come walk with me today and tour the wonderful annual Tulip Festival in vibrant 4K HDR display with ambient sound of the festival and city. We'll walk on boardwalks along the lake, see thousands of tulips, walk through incredible trees full of cherry blossoms, and see many people having a wonderful time. Then we'll walk through the Glebe Annex downtown Ottawa suburb, checking out peoples gardens along the quiet streets towards the entertainment district at Lansdowne Park - where we'll enjoy the sights of the local Sunday Craft & Farmers market. We'll even see a live music show or two! (Mariachi band, anyone?) There's a music track for the intro only, which is "You And The Nature" by PineAppleMusic - producers from Ukraine whom you can find here to check out more awesome music by them - https://pixabay.com/users/pineapplemu...
