Today’s video is one I’ve been ridiculously excited to share — a very special unboxing of 9 truly unique and hard-to-find houseplants, most of which you probably don’t see every day (or even every year!). Some are the kind of tropical wishlist plants I’ve had my eye on forever. Others are more common in name but shockingly rare to come by in real life, and when they do show up? Total must-grabs. Trust me. I picked up 7 plants from GrowTropicals UK, and just when I thought that was enough (lol), I somehow ended up in the houseplant section of a garden centre — and yep, you guessed it — I left with 2 more plants I’ve been hunting for years at a great price. Zero regrets. Here’s what’s inside this magical unboxing haul: 🌿 Anthurium aridamoides – A replacement for a favorite plant I sadly lost. It’s unique, dramatic, and a bit sentimental. 🌿 Anthurium papillilaminum – One of my most-wanted plants of all time. I couldn’t believe it when GrowTropicals included it as a gift! I gasped. It’s velvety, it’s rare, and I’ve dreamed of owning it. 🌿 Anthurium Delta Force – The name alone is epic, right? It’s finally affordable, and even though it’s a seedling, I had to snatch it up. 🌿 Rhaphidophora korthalsii 'Long Velvet' – I’ve been falling in love with the Rhaphidophora genus, and this one has the coolest velvet texture. 🌿 Rhaphidophora pertusa – If you love the tetrasperma, this one’s like the glow-up version. Chunkier fenestrations and total jungle vibes. 🌿 Hoya 'Sunrise' – Another sentimental buy. I had one, I killed it, and now it’s back in my life looking fresh and ready to thrive. 🌿 Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Fire Flash' – IYKYK. It’s that not-so-common “common” plant that’s incredibly striking but rarely available. It used to be in my collection ages ago and it’s back! 🌿 Haworthia truncata – Weird, windowed, and totally wonderful. I’ve searched for this succulent forever and finally found it at an amazing price. 🌿 Philodendron sodiroi – Massive, metallic, and underpriced — I couldn’t walk away. Surprisingly, I’ve never owned this one despite loving similar varieties. This unboxing is a perfect blend of plant nerd dreams, pure excitement, and let’s be real — a little bit of plant parent chaos.
